The Opt Model
In creating a fitness program for my clients I use the NASM ( National Academy of Sports Medicine) scientific approach to fitness called the OPT model. It uses an approach that is in alignment with the current state of most of the populations physical conditions. Most people start the fitness journey without addressing postural distortions which have caused postural distortions. This causes faulty movement patterns in the kinetic chain and eventually lead to the cumulative injury cycle.
After having three children and bouncing back from that with weights and cardio machines I still experienced back pain and seemed to keep ending up in over training syndrome and muscle imbalances. It wasn’t until I studied my second certification with NASM that I I started seeing results and feeling balanced and strong from the inside out.
The first Stage of the OPT model is stabilization endurance. This starts by putting a client in an unstable environment and which causes your nervous system to activate and your core to engage throughout the exercise. It is effective way to get a full body workout which saves on time and burns more calories than a traditional workout.Through my own personal testimony and hundreds of clients I have trained implementing the OPT model has transformed bodies by changing their body composition. I am so excited that you are taking a step into becoming healthier and stronger person. If you want to know more about the OPT model schedule an appointment to start your first steps into transforming the way you move and live.
